Are you interested in the crafts of baby food jars? There are many ideas for recycling those baby food jars. This should be my all-time favorite use of those baby food jars. I have shared this idea with many of my friends and they also said it was a complete hit with their baby. It’s that simple.
- Simply collect each lid from each jar, whether it’s a jar of baby food or the lid of the jar of pasta sauce.
- Put them in the dishwasher and sterilize them.
- Then fill a large plastic jar with those lids. I buy my rice in a large plastic jar and this is perfect for collecting lids.
When my baby was under 7 months old he loved to hold his lids and blink them together. He found that they were rolling and then started stacking them. They were perfect for the little hold of him.
At about 7 months he began to put them back one at a time in the plastic jar.
At about 11 months he loved to turn the plastic jar upside down and try to flip all the lids and then of course put them back in.
When he was about 14 months old he started using lids for cooking.
Now at 21 months he is still playing with the lids of the baby food jars.
We once borrowed a toy from a friend because Jamie loved playing with it so much in her house. When I asked her if there was a toy Jamie had that she wanted to borrow, she said “I might really have some of your baby food jar lids.”
The funniest toys are usually free and are always in our home.
