Barbie dolls are so popular that every little girl has at least one. There is no need to throw away or forget your Barbie doll if she happens to have anatomical problems. If your daughter’s Barbie has a damaged neck, don’t despair – it’s easy to fix! Below are some tips to help you fix a Barbie doll’s broken neck.
Super glue should be used. In case your child or you have been playing rough with your doll, a slight neck repair may be required. Use maximum strength glue to fix your Barbie if she has a small crack in her neck. A toothpick will be useful to push the adhesive into all the crevices of the Barbie doll’s neck. Make sure you press firmly with your fingers as the glue hardens, this will help ensure it binds properly. You’ll find yourself repairing your Barbie often if you use hot glue to perform this repair instead.
A neck ribbon could be added. You may need to use something stronger than crazy glue if the crack in your Barbie doll’s neck is larger than a light or small crack. This can result in an eyesore turning Barbie into the exact opposite of a high fashion model. You can hide a Barbie’s broken neck with a strip of tied ribbon. It goes without saying that you should use the adhesive to reattach the neck. Since the break is severe and because you are unable to hide the ugly glue, you hide the flaw by adding a neck tape on top of it as it begins to dry. Find a thin type of ribbon – the width should be no larger than Barbie’s neck. Next, tie it around Barbie’s neck. The ribbon will look like an elegant neck scarf. Complete the neck ribbon by tying a bow. The accessory will then be permanent, so choose a nice ribbon for the doll.
A part of the doll can be replaced by you. It goes without saying that Barbie dolls can go through a lot of rebuilds when big brother and other destructive friends are around. Replacing Barbie’s broken neck may be the only practical solution if the break is too bad to fix. This isn’t ideal, but it might be the case. You can also replace the entire top half of a Barbie, but some Barbies won’t let you do that. If the top cannot be replaced, the neck must be replaced. Use a sharp blade to remove Barbie’s broken neck to make room for a new one. You can cut low enough for clothing to mask scars. If that’s not possible, it may be time to give up on your broken Barbie.
